*CHARITY OUTREACH AT ENUGU UKWU GENERAL HOSPITAL*

Today, 14/7/019 mark a progressive remark of practical Christian.

Little friends of Jesus and Mary Catholic Apostolate international, took her out- reach to Enugu Ukwu general hospital show casing practical Christianity and propelling the gospel to humanity.

Christians are been charged with serious task on affecting positive gesture towards their Neighbour as a sign of practical being.

Today’s gospel illuminates the importance of winning souls for God’s kingdom.

The whole of Christ’s earthly ministry was characterized by a consistent effort to give a human face & practical meaning to the laws & commandments of His Father. He considered in every occasion human needs over & above other considerations. This He taught abundantly with the lessons of the parable of the good samaritan. In it He demonstrated that the salvation of souls surpasses any other law no matter the circumstances & the persons involved.

Jesus invites us to witness to His kingdom by translating the faith we profess in Him into our daily relationships & encounters through evangelical outreach to our ‘neighbours’.

But who are these neighbours? 1⃣They are the neglected & those deprived of human affection. 2⃣They are those afflicted with all kinds of diseases. 3⃣They are the hungry, homeless, oppressed, orphans, widows & dejected bereft of adequate aids. 4⃣They are those we despise because of race, colour, religion & status. 5⃣They are those we deny of their share of the commonwealth because of our positions. 6⃣They are those we capitalise on their gullibility to dispossess of their means of Livelihood . And the only way we can prove that we love our invisible God is by caring for our neighbours we can see (cf. 1Jn.4:20). We must therefore transform the jangling discords of our world into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood & sisterhood. For faith without good work is dead in itself (Jm.2:17).

The visit, comprises all the sick in both male and female wards. The little friends of Jesus and Mary Catholic Apostolate international, has demonstrated the importance of winning souls for God’s kingdom in practical encounters.

The team led by mother Angela Ugwuka (Foundress), encouraged the patients and urged them never to relent in trusting God’s mercy and healing. In her prayers, she prayed tirelessly to mother Mary’s interception as the only way Christ can perform miracles upon them.

Nevertheless, items of provisions and cash was presented to them as a sign of practical Christianity towards mankind .

Interesting, those patients expressed their satisfaction towards the little friends of Jesus and Mary Catholic Apostolate international, as mark of practical mission of saving souls in difficulties.

Let our lives be of service towards humanity. Invest in God’s work by touching lives that are dying.
